We plan to camp at Dorrigo Showground. Not fancy but worked well for us earlier this year. No bookings are accepted. Hopefully it will be OK.
- 40 minutes from Platypus Flat
- 60 minutes to Cod Hole.
- 1.5 hr to The Junction
- There is mobile phone reception at the campground.
An advantage of camping at the town of Dorrigo is that we have easy access to cafes and shops, and it is all very relaxed.

Camping costs
$20/night per vehicle for unpowered sites
Warm water in shower operated by gold coin, $1 per 4 mins.
We can arrive without a booking, establish camp, and pay when the office in town is open afterwards (in the New Year) - it is pretty casual, on the honour system. This site managed by Ray White Dorrigo .
Arrival at Campground
- Enter via Tryingham Road entrance.
- We’ll camp together (unless you don’t want to) - should be sufficient space in unpowered sites.
- We’ll establish a central shared gazebo as a group hangout area (Martin to bring)
- Whoever arrives first, please scope out and claim a good spot for us in the un-powered zone.
